BNP playing with venomous snake: Quader

DHAKA: Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader has commented that the BNP is playing with venomous snakes.

Addressing a discussion meeting on Wednesday (August 23), he also commented that conspiracy is going on home and abroad to create instability in the county following the verdict on 16th constitutional amendment.

Sheikh Rasel Shishu Kishore Parishad arranged the discussion at CIRDAP auditorium in the capital city to mark the National Mourning Day.

Obaidul Quader, also the road transport and bridges minister, said that the BNP wanted to come to the power following the 16th amendment verdict. The party provoked the people to create such an atmosphere like the One-Eleven. Their efforts were foiled, he added.

He recalled the contribution of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in building the nation. He remembered Rasel who was killed mercilessly in his childhood on August 15 in 1975.

President of Sheikh Rasel Shishu Kishore Parishad Rakibur Rahman chaired the function, while secretary general of the organization Mahmudus Samad MP and president of the National Press Club Md Shafikur Rahman also spoke it, among others.
