SAVAR (DHAKA): Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader alleged again that BNP is orchestrating a conspiracy to oust the government by holding secret meetings in London, Dubai and Bangkok.

He made the remark to reporters at Savar’s Hemayetpur on Wednesday (Aug 30) while inspecting highways and the vehicular movements on Dhaka-Aricha Highway ahead of Eid-ul Azha.

Quader said, “If BNP does not participate in polls then terrorism and militancy will rise again and create a political unrest in the country. We want BNP to attend the election for the sake of the country’s wellbeing.”

BNP is secretly holding meetings in London, Dubai and Bangkok with such people who are known as ‘International danglers’ and 'masterminds' for overthrowing democratic governments in many countries. So BNP’s silence and secrecy signifies clear signs of conspiracy, he said.

“We have information about these secret meetings. We are aware about everything and ready to battle any unjust attempt by the opposition. We will defend BNP’s comical threat for movement with appropriate politics.”

Finally the minister also claimed that Eid holiday makers won’t face any hassle on road as employees of Roads and Highways Department (RHD) is working seamlessly to ensure smooth and safe journey for travelers.
