CHITTAGONG: Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh announced programs to protest the ongoing killing spree of Rohingya Muslims in Mynamar’s Rakhin state.

Hefazat Secretary General Allama Junaid Babunagari said at a press briefing at Chittgaong Press Club Saturday (September 9) that they will bring out agitation rallies from the mosques after Jumma prayer September 15, with the demands to stop the genocide in Myanmar and to take back the Rohingya refugees from Bangladesh.

They will surround the Mynamar embassy in Dhaka on September 21.

Besides, memorandums will be given to the United Nations (UN) and Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on September 21, said Babunagari.

He urged the Bangladesh government to mount pressure on the Aung San Suu Kyi-led government to stop the massacre in Myanmar.

Besides, he demanded the government should cut the diplomatic ties with Myanmar if it doesn’t respond the call to stop the killing. 

The Hefazat secretary general further said about a probable long march led by Hefazat chief Allama Shah Ahmad Shafi, in this regard.

Heazat Nayeb-e-Amir Allama Hafez Tajul Islam, Joint Secretary General Foyzullah, Allama Lokman Hakim, Maolana Moinuddin Ruhi, Organizing Secretary Maolana Azizul Haque Islamabadi, Dhaka Metropolitan unit Hefazat Vice President Junaid Al Habib were among others attended the press briefing.
