DHAKA: Jatiya Party Chairman and former President HM Ershad was admitted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Rangpur on Tuesday night after he fell sick. 

Ershad, who is currently visiting Rangpur, fell ill while attending a roadside rally in Shahebganj upazila in the evening and later rushed to hospital. 

Confirming the matter, Jatiya Party central committee member and Pirganj upazila committee general secretary Nur Alam Jadu said the nature of the illness is yet to be ascertained, however, doctors assured of no serious health risk.
