DHAKA: BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi alleged that the government is deliberately ruining the educational system of the country.
The BNP leader made this remark in a press conference held at the central office of BNP in Nayapaltan area of the capital on Sunday (October 22).
Expressing his frustration over the current situation, Rizvi said, “Education is the backbone of a nation and a pre-requisite for development. But the government is destroying all educational institutions in the country in a planned manner. Standard of education diminishes as it is being politicized. Now the highest anarchy exists in education sector.
The education sectors is full of bribery, political cadres recruitment, ignoring actual talents, instructing teachers of educational boards to pass their candidates, leakage of question papers of all levels, he said.
Leakage of question papers has become a cancer in education sector.
“In the past 10 years, leakage of question papers has become rampant, starting from various public universities, medical and dental college’s admission tests, and questionnaires for different recruitment exams, SSC, HSC, JSC, and PEC to even nursing exams.”
Arms and ammunition of student front of the ruling party paralyzed our education system; he said quoting a famous intellectual of the country, “the Awami League has turned the country into a criminal state.
Moreover, this senior BNP leader alleged that AL leaders are constantly bombarding pompous speech in public.
Questioning the abilities of ruling party advisers, Rizvi said, “The ruling party leaders said that Bangladesh is floating through tidal of development where as Dhaka is sinking under water. Streets of the Dhaka city become drains, canals with little rains.”
