RAJSHAHI: Police detained twelve leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir while they were holding a secret meeting in Rajshahi town on Monday (October 30).

Rajpara Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Hafizur Rahman said that on information the drive was conducted in Aliganj Madrasah in the city at around 02:30 pm.

Police also seized some Jihadi books in the drive.

After interrogation, they were sued under the Anti-Terrorism Act. Later, they will be sent to prison following court procedure, the OC added.
