Inu asks BNP to leave Jamaat-Hefazat for talks

KUSHTIA: Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu asked BNP to leave war criminals (Jamaat-e-Islami) and Hefazat-e-Islam if it wants to sit for dialogue over election and democracy.

Hasanul Haq Inu, also president of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD), said these while responding to a question of journalists at Kushtia Circuit House on Saturday (November 04).

He made the statement in as reply of BNP standing committee member Barrister Moudud Ahmed’s comment that the government must come in compromise.

Hasanul Haq Inu said that the controversy over the war criminals and the Hefazat-e-Islam has to come to an end. The BNP has been placing proposals over next elections, but the party is not leaving the war criminals and the Hefazat.

Additional deputy commissioner (ADC) of Kushtia Md Ahsan Habib, JSD central leader Abdul Alim Swapan and Kushtia district JSD president Golam Mohsin also attended at the time, among others.
