DHAKA: BNP has rescheduled its plan to hold a rally at Suhrawardy Udyan on Nov 11 due to a Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) meeting.
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi made the statement in a press conference held at the party’s central office in Naya Paltan area of the city on Monday (November 6).
The BNP leader said, “We initially fixed Nov 7 to hold the rally at Suhrawardy Udyan marking the National Revolution and Solidarity Day but it has been postponed due to a CPA meeting.”
However, the day will be celebrated with due respect, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi added.
The party Chairperson Khaleda Zia will grace the gathering, the party sources said.
Meanwhile, on the occasion of the day, the party has announced various programs from starting from November 5 to November 14.
