Polls won’t be accepted without BNP: Fakhrul

LALMONIRHAT: BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that any election without BNNP won’t not be accepted in the country and globally.

He said this at the inauguration ceremony of a bicycle rally at Burir Bazar at Mahendranagar area in Lalmonirhat on Sunday (November 19).

The BNP leader said that the government can’t come into power through a free and fair election. For this reason, they are hatching conspiracy to hold another one-sided election.

“The government has robbed off democracy. We must restore our voting rights through struggle. We demand neutral and non-party government to oversee the general elections. We hope that the government will realize the facts,” he said.

Mirza Fakhrul that although holding program is a democratic rights, the BNP can’t hold program in many places of the country. On the other hand, another political party can do it. “We postponed our visit to an affected area in Rangpur due to obstacle,” he said.  

BNP chairperson's adviser Mizanur Rahman Minu and the party’s rganizing secretary Abdus Salam also attended the function, among others.
