DHAKA: BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir remarked that his party has to participate in elections through movement as the ruling party doesn’t have the guts to hold neutral elections.
The BNP leader made this comment while addressing a meeting on the occasion of Tarique Rahman's birth anniversary in city's Engineers Institution Auditorium on Monday (November 27).
The program was organized by Dhaka Metropolitan North BNP.
He also demanded the dissolution of national parliament and hold elections under the non-partisan and neutral government in order to form a representative government.
Dhaka Metropolitan North BNP Senior Vice President Munshi Bazlul Basid Anjur presided over the meeting, while General Secretary Ahsan Ullah Hasan moderated the program. Other BNP senior leaders were present in the program.
