DHAKA: ‘Jukta Front’, a new political alliance is set to be commenced with Bikalkpadhara Bangladesh Chairman AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury as its convener.
The three other partners of the four-party alliance are--Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal-JSD (Rab), Abdul Kader Siddique-led Krishak Sramik Janata League and Mahmudur Rahman Manna-led Nagorik Oikya.
The parties have agreed to form the coalition at a meeting at JSD President ASM Abdur Rab’s residence in Dhaka’s Uttara Monday night (December 4).
Sources from the meeting said that Abdul Kader Siddique, Mahmudur Rahman Manna, JSD Secretary General Abdul Malek Ratan and Bikalpadhara Secretary General Maj (Retd) Abdul Mannan were present at the meeting.
Badruddoza told reporters that the alliance aims to working for integrating democracy and to bring the price of commodities under control.
However, details about the coalition will be disclosed within next two weeks, he added.
