GAIBANDHA: Golam Mostofa Ahmed, lawmaker from Gaibandha-1 (Sundarganj) constituency, died at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka early Tuesday (December 19), after battling injuries from a road accident for nearly one month.  

The MP breathed his last at around 08:45am, said family sources.

Ripon, a nephew of the deceased, said that Golam Mostofa was injured in a road accident in Tangail, on November 16. Later, he was admitted to CMH.

His first namaz-e-janaza will be held at the Jatiya Sangsad.
He will be buried after another janaza at Chadipur area of Sundarganj, said Ripon. 

However, a bus crashed a microbus on Dhaka-Tangail Highway near Bangabandhu Bridge in Natiapara area of Delduar upazila, leaving four people injured including Golam Mostofa MP on the evening of November 16.
