COMILLA: Voting at 15 Union Parishads (UP) under four upazilas of Comilla will be held on Thursday (December 28).

Meanwhile, candidates have completed their campaigns. For the first time, elections are going to be held under respective party symbols in UP. For this reason, an atmosphere of joy is felt among parties. 

Apart from ‘Boat’ and ‘Paddy Sheaf’ symbols, there are candidates running elections with different symbols in 15 UP elections.

Comilla district election officer Md.Khorshed Alam said that 15 platoon BGB, 15 platoons RAB, police members, Ansar and VDP will be deployed in each union to make the elections fair.

Hopefully, elections will be fair in the presence of adequate numbers of law enforcers, Md. Khorshed Alam added.
