SIRAJGANJ: Awami League presidium member and spokesperson of the ruling party led-14 party-alliance Mohammad Nasim has called upon the BNP as well as the party’s chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia to take preparations for the newt polls instead of warning.

He made the call while speaking at a function held at the auditorium of Sirajganj Government College on Saturday (December 30).

Sirajganj district unit of Institution of Diploma Engineers Bangladesh (IDEB) arranged the function with IDEB’s district unit president Nawsher Ahmed Tamanna in the chair.

Acting president of Sirajganj district Awami League Prof Dr Habibe Millat Munna MP and IDEB’s general secretary Shamsur Rahman also attended the function, among others.

Nasim, also Health and Family Welfare Minister, said that Khaleda Zia wants such an election which is not allowed by the country’s constitution. The next general elections will be held as per the constitution, he added.
