DHAKA: Jatiya Party, the main opposition and also an ally of the Awami League-led government, is celebrating its 32nd founding anniversary on Monday (January 01).

The party chairman Hussain Mohammad Ershad inaugurated the celebration program at the Institution of Diploma Engineers Bangladesh (IEB) by hoisting national flag and the party flag.

The party’s co-chairman GM Quader, secretary general ABM Ruhul Amin Hawlader, presidium members Barrister Anisul Islam Mahmud, Kazi Firoz Rashid and Mujibul Haque Chunnnu also attended the function, among others.  

Jatiya Party was founded on January 1 in 1986, with the then military ruler Ershad as its chairman.
