THAKURGAON: BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam on Saturday (January 06) cancelled his visit to Thakugaon, as the local administration imposed Section 144 at some places of Ruhia area in the district.

The BNP leader was scheduled to join some rallies and mass contract at the places.

The local administration imposed the Section 144, as the Sechchhasebok League, a body of the ruling Awami League, also called rallies in the same places in the same time.

Thakurgaon district unit BNP president Toimur Rahman at a press conference said that Mirza Fakhrul returned from the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport after he was informed the matter.
