DHAKA: BNP will start selling nomination forms for the mayoral by-polls to Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) from Sunday (January 14).

Interested aspirants can buy a nomination form at Tk 10,000 from BNP's Naya Paltan central office by 4:00pm Sunday.

The nomination-seekers will have to submit the form to the BNP office with Tk 25,000 by 4:00pm Monday (January 15), said sources from a BNP Standing committee meeting held at BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s political office in Gulshan Sunday night.

The aspirants will be interviewed by the party nomination board at the party chairperson's Gulshan office, on Monday night.

The Election Commission fixed February 26 for the by-election.

However, DNCC mayor post fell vacant after the death of Annisul Huq at a London hospital on November 30.
