COX’S BAZAR: A local leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), the student wing of the ruling party, was killed as a bus rammed his motorcycle in Ukhia upazila of Cox’s Bazar.

He was identified as Bahadur Alam Chowdhury, 22, son of Md Siddiq in Balukhali Purbopara of Ukhia, and president of Palongkhali union parishad ward-1 BCL unit. 

Witnesses said that a Cox’s Bazar-bound bus rammed into Bahadur’s motorcycle at Balukhali Customs area while he was returning home from Kutupalong, leaving him dead on the spot, at the night.

Balukhali Highway Police In-Charge Sub-Inspector Rajesh Barua confirmed the incident to Banglanews.
