DHAKA: Ruling Awami League has called a parliamentary board meeting on Wednesday (January 31) ahead of the Presidential election.

AL president Sheikh Hasina will chair the meeting scheduled to be held around 8:00 pm at Sheikh Hasina’s official residence Ganabhaban. 

A press release, signed by office secretary of the party Dr Abdus Sobhan Golap, was issued in this connection on Monday (January 29).

According to the Election Commission schedule, the presidential polls will be held on February 18 where members of the parliament will elect the 23rd president of the country.
