DHAKA: Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader said his party will not announce any confrontational programs centering BNP chief Khaleda Zia’s verdict in Zia Orphanage Trust graft case.
However, Quader, also the Road Transport and Bridges Minister, warned that befitting reply will be given to BNP if they try to carry out destructive activities.
He made the remarks in a bridge construction agreement program at CIRDAP (Centre on Integrated Rural Development for Asia and the Pacific) auditorium on Thursday afternoon (February 1).
Responding to Fakhrul’s remark, Quader said, “No outsiders have attacked police on Tuesday but BNP men carried out the militant-style attack. They were the mastermind. We have video footage of that attack. BNP leaders can not point finger to others.”
