SYLHET: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has arrived in Sylhet on Monday afternoon (February 5) to visit the shrines of Hazrat Shahjalal (RA) and Hazrat Shah Paran (RA)..

Khaleda’s motorcade reached Sylhet town around 3:45pm and directly went to Circuit House at 4:30pm.

According to party sources, the BNP chief will take rest there for some time and then go out to visit to visit the shrines. She will leave Sylhet tonight. 

BNP Standing Committee members Mirza Abbas, Barrister Jamiruddin Sircar and Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury are accompanying Khaleda in the visit. 

Earlier in the morning, Khaleda left Dhaka for Sylhet. She also faced procession rallied on the highway against her, allegedly by Chhatra League leaders, in Narshigdi.
