MEHERPUR: A local BNP leader was died and three others injured as two motorcycles collided face-to-face in Meherpur sadar upazila Wednesday (February 14).

The deceased was identified as Rustom Ali, Vice President of Mujibanagar upazila unit BNP.

The injured—Hasmot Ali, Soleman Hossain and Shah Alam were sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH).

Meherpur Police Station Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Robiul Islam told Banglanews that the four persons including Rustom were injured as their bikes collided head-on at Dafarpur area, at around 5:00pm.

They were rushed to Meherpur General Hospital where Rustom succumbed to his injuries at around 8:00pm. The injured were shifted to RMCH afterwards.
