PABNA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, also ruling Awami League president, is set to visit the district on Wednesday after 12-year.

Sources said the premier is scheduled to inaugurate 12 development works and lay foundation stone of 18 projects including much-talked Rooppur nuclear power plant.

Besides, the premier also will address a mass rally at Ruppur nuclear power project ground in the district.

Earlier on January 13, 2001, the Prime Minister visited Pabna to inaugurate Pakshi Lalan Shah Bridge and Iswardi EPZ.

Iswardi has been decorated with different colorful posters, festoons, banners and couple of gates set in various spots of the district was set up to welcome the PM.

According to a letter signed by Prime Minister’s personal secretary Jahangir Alam, the premier will inaugurate nuclear power plant at around 11:00am.

Later, taking launch and praying Johr prayer at the rest house of Roads and Highway Department, Sheikh Hasina will join in the rally at Rooppur project ground.
