Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain won the toss and chose to bat first in their Champions Trophy opener against India at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Bangladesh will field three seamers and two spinners, with Tanzim Sakib replacing speedster Nahid Rana.
"We would like to bat first. The wicket looks good, and we want to put runs on the board. We need to play good cricket today, and the boys are confident," Najmul said at the toss.
India's captain Rohit Sharma, meanwhile, would have opted to field first, citing the team's experience of easier batting conditions under lights.
