DHAKA: Chinese online game developer Snail Electronic has unveiled a new mobile internet strategy.

The new strategy includes an own-branded mobile phone, a game download platform, and a mobile data package, the Marbridge Daily writes citing a DoNews report.

The Snail phone is a customised version of TCL Communication Technology`s idolX+ smartphone offered at CNY 1,888.

However, Snail game players will be able to buy the phone for CNY 988. Pre-orders for the Snail phone have already opened.

The company will also release a mobile app store that also features a customer service hotline and user forums.

Furthermore, Snail will cooperate with China Unicom to introduce a "Snail Wo" data package for users with a Unicom mobile number and the Snail Store app.

Customers that use the Snail phone will also get one year`s worth of data usage on the app store. To this end, Snail has signed an MVNO agreement with Unicom and has applied for a licence with the government.
