Huawei has organized a campus recruitment program at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET).
The initiative aimed to offer promising career opportunities to fresh graduates.
Huawei Bangladesh have shared the information in a press release issued on Tuesday (April 15).
The recruitment event was attended by representatives from both CUET and Huawei. From Huawei, Md. Fara Newas, Senior HR Manager, Omar Heider Masfique Ahmad, HR Manager, and Md Khalid Hossain, Assistant HR Manager, were present. While from CUET, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shamsul Arefin, Dean of Faculty of Electrical & Computer Engineering, and Dr. Mehedi Hasan Chowdhury, Associate Professor of the Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering joined the event.
Around 300 students from multiple departments of CUET participated in the recruitment process, which consists of an MCQ-based examination and interview session. The selected candidates will receive offers to begin their professional journey with Huawei. Md. Fara Newas conducted a session prior to the screening, focusing on both international and national telecom industry trends, as well as the roles and contributions of Huawei in the sector.

On the other hand, Huawei is a family of fresh graduates and senior experts. We find this mix very valuable where the new joiners from universities always come with new ideas. Reflecting on the initiative, Dr. Mehedi Hasan Chowdhury, Associate Professor of the EEE Department said, “Huawei’s campus recruitment program provided a valuable platform for our students to connect with a global ICT leader. It enhanced their understanding of industry expectations and offered a pathway to meaningful career opportunities.”
A participant of the program shared their experience saying, “If I get a chance to work with the ICT and telco industry leader, Huawei, it will be a significant start for my career. I heard from my seniors that Huawei is a performance driven company. I am inspired and ready to build a fully connected intelligent Bangladesh.”
Majority of the Huawei employees are recruited from local resources. They are contributing not only in Bangladesh but also in other offices of Huawei.
