IT students to get job opportunity in Japan

DHAKA: Bangla Business Partner (BBP), Japan in association with Daffodil Institute of Information Technology (DIIT) will organise a “IT Talent Contest-2014” to create employment opportunity in Japan for the country’s younger students in the field of information technology.

In the first phase 20 contestant-students will get employment opportunity in Japan.

According to a release, gradually, the IT professional will get the employment opportunity in different companies in Japan, USA, Canada and other countries.

Selected students will be trained up in Japanese language. They will also get exclusive professional training at free of cost to make them capable to work in IT sector.

Final year students of computer science and engineering (CSE) department of different institutions of the country, passing out graduates or IT professional will be included in the opportunity to participate this “IT Talent Contest”.

The contest will be held in four phases.

In first phase, preliminary selection will be completed through online MCQ and IQ test.

In the second phase, a problem solving contest will be held in presence of local it experts.

In third phase, contestants will be selected through local interview and finally Japanese employers will finalise the candidates through interviews for final selection for the final recruitment.

In selection round besides local IT experts, former IBM Vice Chairman Norio Morakami will also be present.

The 1st and 2nd phase will be held on February 22 and February 28 respectively.

All examinations will be held at main Campus of Daffodil Institute of IT (DIIT) on Panthapath in Dhaka.

Toru Okazaki, Managing Director, Bangla Business Partner (BBP), Japan informed the journalists about the upcoming programme in a press conference held on January 15 at National Press Club.
