FROM SPAIN: Grameenphone (GP), one of the leading mobile phone operators of the country got most prestigious award ‘Green Mobile Award’ of world mobile congress.

World mobile congress arranged by Global System for Mobile communications Association (GSMA) nominated Grameenphone for the award.

Grameenphone (GP) won the award under Extensive Climate Change Program.

Two top high officials of Grameenphone---- Chief Executive Officer Vivek Sood and Chief Technical Officer Tanveer Mohammad ---received the award on Tuesday at the venue of World Mobile Congress at Barcelona.
 
The award was handed over in eight categories including top mobile service provider, top mobile handset and device, top apps, top mobile technology.

The head of all mobile technology companies joined in the world mobile congress to introduce the various facilities of new technology for mobile phone users.

Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zukerberg, IBM CEO Virginia Rometty, Telenor Group president Jon Fredrik Baksaas, Ford Motor Company president of Europe, Middle East and Africa Stephen T Odell, among others joined in the event.
