A high-level business delegation of 30-member from Pakistan has arrived in Dhaka for a five-day visit starting January 11.

The delegation from the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) is visiting Bangladesh at the invitation of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI).

The delegation, led by FPCCI President Atif Ikram Sheikh, includes top industrialists and business leaders from various sectors in Pakistan.

The visit aims to strengthen trade relations between the two countries, with discussions likely to focus on enhancing bilateral import-export activities.

An agreement between the trade bodies of Bangladesh and Pakistan, such as a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), is expected during the visit. Talks on rice imports are also anticipated.

On Sunday, January 12, the Pakistani delegation is scheduled to meet Sheikh Bashir Uddin, Commerce Adviser. They are also expected to hold discussions with Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus, Chairman of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Chowdhury Ashiq Mahmud Bin Harun, and Vice Chairman of the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) Anwar Hossain.
