The Health and Family Welfare Ministry has cancelled approval of Care Medical College, a private institution, located at Iqbal Road in Mohammadpur the capital. 

The ministry suspended admission of students from 2016-17 academic year for committing irregularities and not ensuring the quality of education. 

The college authority filed a writ petition with the High Court and the writ was withdrawn on July 16 last.

To justify its decision, the ministry said the said medical college has failed to improve quality despite the expiry of five years.
