Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) opened a primary school for the children of Baghaichhari Upazila of Rangamati.

Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Mizanur Rahman, commander of Baghaihat Battalion 54 BGB in Durgam Udalchari BOP area of Sajek Union, and Naik Subedar BOP commander of Udalchari BOP Helal Uddin jointly inaugurated the school on Thursday (Jan 5).

According to locals, the children of Sajek were deprived of primary education. Now they will get education. New books were distributed among the students on the inauguration day.

Baghaihat Battalion 54 BGB sources said that the children of these areas were deprived of primary education. Therefore, BGB has taken initiative to educate the children through this school.
