SAVAR (DHAKA): At least five police men were injured in a road accident on Dhaka-Aricha highway at Bismail area under Savar upazila of the district on Sunday night.

Of the injured, two were identified as Constables Mehedi, 35 and Shahadat, 32.

They were rushed to Savar Enam Medical College Hospital.

Witnesses said a pickup van of Industrial Police plunged into a roadside ditch as a passenger-carrying bus knocked it from behind at the Bismail area of the upazila, leaving five cops injured.

Inspector of Industrial Police Abdus Sattar confirmed the matter to banglanews.
