Two motorcyclists were killed in separate accidents on the Dhaka-Mawa Expressway in Munshiganj today. 

The deceased were identified as Faruk-uz-Zaman, 40, of Faridpur, and Alimul, 27, of Rangpur, police said.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Hasara Highway Police Station Abdul Quader Jilani confirmed the matter to the media.

Faruk died on the spot after being hit from behind by an unidentified vehicle in Sirajdikhan’s Nimtola area around 9 am. 

Earlier, at 3 am, a truck struck another motorcycle in Sreenagar’s Hasara area, injuring rider Alimul and his pillion Abdul Rahman. 

Alimul was declared dead at the hospital.

Police confirmed the bodies have been handed over to the families.
