LALMONIRHAT: Miscreants cut tendons of hands of Burimari Union Swechhasebak League president and chopped him indiscriminately in Burimari Bazar area under Patgram Upazila of the district on Sunday night.

The victim was identified as Tosaddek Hossain Alam, 40, hailed from zero point area of the upazila.
 
Witnesses said while returning home around 10:30am, miscreants attacked Tosaddek with lethal weapons, leaving him critically injured.

Local people rushed him to Upazila Health Complex and then shifted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.

Patgram Thana Officer-in-Charge Amiruzzaman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
