DHAKA: A meeting between Election Commission (EC) and Law enforcing agencies is underway at conference room of EC secretariat on Thursday morning.

With Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Rakib Uddin Ahmed in the chair the meeting started at around 11:20am to ensure the security of Upazila Parishad elections.

Election Commissioners Mohammad Abdul Mobarak, Abu Hafiz, Jabed Ali and Shah Newaj and EC secretary Mohammad Sadik joined the meeting.

High-ups of law enforcement agencies including Senior Secretary of Home Ministry CQ Mostaq Ahmed, Principal Staff Officer (PSO) of armed forces Lieutenant Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiqul Haque, Inspector General of Police Hasan Khandakar, and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Director General Major General Aziz Ahmed are taking part in the meeting.
