CHITTAGONG: Customs authority recovered 26 gold bars and 200 grams ornaments weighing three kilograms from two passengers at Shah Amanat International Airport on Friday night.

The law enforcers, however, detained two passengers with the gold.

Chittagong customs and duty detective officer jointly conducted the drive in a flight of Fly Dubai coming from Dubai around 9:00am and recovered the gold from the detainees’ wallets, shoes and mobile phones.

Chittagong customs assistant commissioner Moshiur Rahman Mondol confirmed the matter to banglanews.
