Youth shot dead in city

DHAKA: A youth was shot to death at an abandoned quarter of the National Cardiac Hospital at Sher-e-Banglanagar on the city on Tuesday morning.  

The dead is Sazzad Hossain Swapan, 25, son of late Sultan Mia, hailed from Sonargaon upazila of Narayanganj.

Victim’s younger brother said some unidentified criminals shot his brother in sleeping condition around 8:00am.  

Swapan might have been killed over previous enmity, he added.

Sher-e-Banglanagar Police Station Shamsur Rahman said body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue.
