The body of a five-year-old boy, who had been missing since Thursday morning, was recovered from the house of his neighbour in Nishindara Dhamak Para area under Sadar upazila of the Bogura today (Nov 29).

The victim was identified as Mahdi Hasan, 5, son of Shafiqul, resident of  Nishindara Dhamak Para under Sadar upazila.

Tahmina, 31, has been arrested by the police in this connection. However, her details could not be known yet, officer-in-charge (OC) of Sadar Police Station SM Moinuddin said.

According to family and local sources, Mahdi was playing in front of his house on Thursday morning. As his family members could not find him even after searching in the area around 11 am, they filed a general diary at Sadar Police Station, said OC.

Police recovered Mahdi's body from the house of their neighbor Tahmina in the area around 8am this morning, the official added.
