Three people were killed and at least 15 others were injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck in the Birganj upazila of Dinajpur on Friday (December 6).

Abdul Gafur, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Birganj Police Station, confirmed the matter.

The accident occurred at around 8:15AM in the Yadurhat area of Birganj. 

The identities of the deceased and the injured have not yet been confirmed.

According to the police, a bus operated by Heritage Paribahan was traveling from Dhaka to Thakurgaon. Upon reaching Yadurhat, the bus collided head-on with a truck loaded with rice that was coming from Thakurgaon. Three people died on the spot, and 15 others were injured in the crash.

Being informed, fire service and locals rushed to the spot and recovered three bodies on the spot.
