Major earthquake jolts parts of Bangladesh 

A powerful earthquake struck various parts of the country, including the capital, Dhaka, Tuesday morning.

According to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department, the earthquake was felt at 7:05 am (Bangladesh time), with its epicenter located 618 kilometers northwest of the BMD Seismic Centre in Agargaon, Dhaka.

There was no immediate report of casualties or damage.
