The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted rain or thundershowers in several regions of the country over the next 24 hours, starting from 9 am today (Feb 23).
According to a bulletin released this morning, "Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated locations across Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions."
The department also warned of light to moderate fog in some areas, particularly from late night to early morning.
Temperatures are expected to drop slightly, with night temperatures likely to fall, and daytime temperatures may decrease by 1 to 3°C nationwide, the bulletin added.
On Saturday, the highest temperature recorded was 34.5°C, observed simultaneously in Cox's Bazar and Ambagan, both in the Chattogram division. The lowest temperature of 15.0°C was recorded at Rajarhat in Rangpur division.
The maximum rainfall in the last 24 hours, up until 6 AM today, was recorded at 47 millimeters in Aricha, Dhaka division.
In the capital, the sun is expected to set at 5:58 pm today, and rise at 6:25 am tomorrow.
