National Citizens' Party (NCP), a newly formed political party by students, held its first meeting with the Election Commission (EC) on Sunday (April 20).
The meeting led by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Md Alamgir began at 12:30 pm.
A five-member NCP delegation, headed by Chief Coordinator Nasir Uddin Patwari, took part in the discussion.
Other members of the team included Joint Conveners Anik Roy, Khaled Saifullah, Mujahidul Islam Shahin, and Tajnuva Zabin.
Although Sunday (April 20) was the last date for applying for party registration, the NCP recently submitted a request seeking an extension.
The party asked the EC to extend the deadline by 90 days.
EC officials confirmed that the NCP sought time mainly to discuss issues related to party registration.
