COX’S BAZAR: Two workers were died after inhaling poisonous gas from a septic tank in Chakaria area of the district sadar on Tuesday evening.

The deceased were identified as Arif Hossain, 32 and Liton Mia, 28, residents of the area.

Station commander of Chakaria Fire Service Samiran Das Gupta said two workers were injured critically after inhaling poisonous gas while cleaning a septic tank in a house in the area around 5:00pm.

The injured workers were rushed to Chakaria Hospital where on duty doctor declared them dead, they added.
