TANGAIL: Three people were killed and another injured when a truck hit another one on Dhaka-Tangail Bangabandhu Bridge highway in Kalihati upazila of the district on Wednesday morning.

The accident took place at 6:00am.

Details of the deceased and the injured could not be known immediately.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Bangabandhu Bridge East Thana Officer-In-Charge (OC) Akheruzzaman said a cotton-loaded truck remained standing on near the bridge No. 16 in the Sorola area.

At that time, another iron rod-loaded truck hit the standing one from behind, killing a driver and two helpers on the spot, injuring another driver seriously, the OC added.

The injured was admitted at a local hospital.
