Govt withdraws DCC South administrator

DHAKA: The government has withdrawn Dhaka City Corporation (DCC) South administrator M Alamgir by an order.

Four other additional secretaries and three joint secretaries were also transferred at the same time with another order issued on Sunday afternoon.

Alamgir is now posted to the APD wing of the public administration ministry.

However, the order mentioned that additional secretary to the post and telecommunications ministry, Dilip Kumer Das has been made executive member of the investment board.

Additional secretary Jahangir Alam, who was an Officer on Special Duty (OSD), has been a member of the land reform board.

Another OSD Nur Jahan has been made additional secretary to the science and technology ministry.

Besides, the land reform board member additional secretary Noor Muhammad has been made OSD.

Moreover, Golam Rahman Miah, an OSD earlier, has been transferred as a joint-secretary to the liberation war affairs ministry.

Joint-secretary to the liberation war affairs ministry M Mujibur Rahman Al-Mamun has been made OSD.
