Dhaka: Yet another city building came on the verge of imploding under the weight of its inbuilt faults on KP Road in Gendaria area at around 1:30pm, one and a half hours after a high-rise cracked at Shantinagar.

Witnesses and inmates of the 6-story building told banglanews24.com.bd reporter Saidur Raman that they found cracks at some places of the house.

“The building also seemed tilting on the west side at the time of drizzling at noon,” says an eyewitness account of the happening.

Panic-stricken inmates came out of their flats onto the street as they saw cracks in the building wherein 12 families housed.

Gendaria Thana operation officer ASI Nurul Islam said no casualties were reported. Police rushed to the endangered building site.

Fire-service officials couldn’t say detail about the incident till the writing of the report.

Only few days before, a jerrybuilt house at Begunbari in the capital’s Tejgaon industrial area crumbled, leaving 25 people dead and many injured.
