DHAKA:  Pro–BNP student organization Jatiyatabadi Chhatro Dal (JCD) of Jagannath University (JnU) unit has called off their Thursday’s strike on the campus, said a press release.                            

Senior joint secretary of the unit Khalilur Rahman Khalil made the announcement following the authority’s assurance of meeting their demand.

The strike was enforced to press demands for releasing the five JCD activists including Golam Mawla Shahin, the convener of JnU Chhatro Dal.

Police detained them during June 27 hartal.
