A Dhaka court today (April 25) granted bail to BNP Standing Committee Member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy in six cases after he surrendered before the court and sought bail.

Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Mohammad Ash Shams Jaglul Hossain passed the order.

The cases were filed with Paltan and Ramna police stations in the capital.

Of the six cases— four were filed with Paltan police station and two with Ramna police station—in connection with the clash at the BNP’s grand rally on October 28, 2023.
