BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman today (Sep 17) said the interim government's principal responsibility is to move forward with the goal of forming a parliament through public elections. Without a parliamentary government, no reforms can last.  

The interim government will not be allowed to fail in any way, whoever, it must ensure that it does not become the cause of its own failure, said the BNP leader, through video message from London.  

Tarique Rahman made the remarks while addressing the mammoth rally held in front of BNP Nayapaltan headquarters in Dhaka.

He said that his party will remain supportive to the interim government.
