Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus is set to meet with the leaders of different political parties today (Oct 19) as part of his ongoing dialogue with stakeholders about state reforms and polls.

Meanwhile, the chief adviser underwent a minor medical procedure on Thursday at the Combined Military Hospital in Dhaka. According to the chief adviser's press wing, he resumed his duties on Friday morning.

Fifteen political parties, including Gono Forum, Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), 12-party Alliance, and Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP), will join the talks.

Earlier, the chief adviser sat in talks with five political parties, including the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Gono Odhikar Parishad, and three coalitions, including Ganatantra Mancha, on 5 October.

The interim government, led by Prof Yunus, took office on 8 August after the fall of the fascist Awami League government on 5 August in the face of a mass upsurge spearheaded by students.
